magic box
The story begins with a young and kind-hearted man, Raj. He always loved to help the people who were in need of food and shelter. He has earned the hearts of the people and everyone in his village respected him for his loving nature.
Raj is not a well off man, he lived in a small house and runs his life by selling rags. His everyday routine was to collect the rags from the garbage-can area and sell them. With the money he earned, he kept some for himself and helped people with the rest.
One day, as always,Raj was collecting rags, suddenly he noticed something under the garbage. He immediately approached it and cleaning that dust,dirty things and sticks on it and then he saw a beautiful wooden box. He grabbed it and when he opened it, the box began to speaks.
“I am the Magic Box, I will fulfil all your wishes and give you whatever you ask for”.
Raj was extremely happy and he was jumping and shouting in the dirty ground that all his dreams are going to be fulfilled. That day Raj out of excitement, he forgot to take the rags that he collected and he walked back home with the Magic Box.
Gradually his life began to change and unknowingly, his character also began to change. Raj, stopped selling rags, he never left his house for ages and he was always sitting with the Magic Box like a wretch.
Years passed by, Raj lost all his friends, his name and became greedy. He spent his whole life all alone for the sake of guarding the Magic Box. Later on, Raj began to search for happiness, though he was a wealthy man, he had no one by his side to care him or talk to him. By the time he realised that the Magic Box has changed his life upside down, he became old and weak.
Raj, decides to bury the Magic Box in the place where he found it and he wished to live the rest of his life as he was before.
After a long time Raj went to sell rags little by little he earned back his friends and he helped people by fulfilling their needs with all the wealth he earned through the Magic Box. He regain his name and fame and then he thought that “there is no happiness in being rich and it is all about how we are and what we are”.
Finally Raj lived his old age happy and peacefully.
